Celina’s Winter Message

“Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.”
― Edith Sitwell

Perspective. We can choose to look at the winter as a meaningful time of being together, and staying warm- of slowing down.

Or- we can choose to look at winter as a harsh time period-one that is void of so many of the things described above.

Here at The Kensington we choose to have a warm and friendly atmosphere that you’ll notice from the minute you come in our doors and are greeted by our friendly concierge. You may see residents sitting quietly reading the paper , or visiting in the café, or snuggled down under a blanket watching tv. All of this under one roof, regardless of the climate outside, or goings on in the world. Many days I find I have worked the entire day at 100 Maple, completely oblivious to the outside world. While it seems shocking at first, it’s also a statement of the environment we’ve created here- a place for comfort, good food and warmth. A home- for so many.

We hope you’ll spend time with us this winter in our home, and more importantly, spend some time with your loved ones who live under our roof.

Our doors are open to you!
