Chef Norm’s Barbecue Sauce

Easy to make!


  • 4 cups of Ketchup
  • ½ cup of brown sugar
  • ½ cup of honey
  • ½ cup of white vinegar
  • ¼ cup of soy sauce
  • 4 heaping tablespoons of deli style mustard
  • 1 cup of dehydrated onions
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 3 teaspoons liquid smoke


  1. Mix all of the ingredients together in a sauce pan & heat over a medium flame (until you have a light boil), while continuing to stir frequently. Continue heating on a low flame for another 5 minutes.
  2. Grill your chicken first. Once the chicken is fully cooked, then brush the cooked chicken with the barbecue sauce and grill the chicken for two or three minutes longer.
  3. Refrigerate any unused barbecue sauce for later use.
