Event Details

Eat, Drink & Donate!  Join us for our 4th annual Operation Gratitude networking cocktail party.  Bring your business cards and enjoy drinks and hors d’oeuvres with your colleagues as you help support our troops and veterans.  In honor of Military Appreciation Month and The Kensington’s Still Significant Program, we are inviting our professional partners to join us in supporting Operation Gratitude* with donations of new items.  Please bring one or more of the following items to donate:

Suggested Items to donate (NEW ITEMS ONLY):

  • Socks (not white; preferably black, brown, green, or tan)
  • Pens, pocket-size waterproof notebooks or spiral pads
  • Lip balm (with extra seal)
  • Shaving cream (non-aerosol, gel or cream bases only, in tubes)
  • Hand and foot warmers
  • Individually packaged disposable razors
  • Gum, mints, breath strips
  • Moist towelettes (individual packs)
  • Dental kits: toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, mouthwash (travel-size only)
  • Deodorant (solid only, 3 ounces or less)
  • Travel-size containers of foot powder
  • DVDs and CDs, video games, iPods, computer flash drives
  • Travel-size board games, handheld electronic games
  • Batteries (AA or AAA, 4-pack or less)
  • Mini battery-operated fans, mini flashlights
  • Holiday and general occasion greeting cards (blank)
  • Unsealed personal cards and letters
  • Used cell phones, video games, iPods, PDAs, ink-jet cartridges
  • Gift cards to chain stores such as supermarkets, drugstores, Walmart, Walgreens, Target, or VISA, MasterCard, American Express

*Operation Gratitude is a 501c(3) non-profit, volunteer-based corporation, funded entirely by private donations.  Operation Gratitude annually sends 150,000+ care packages to new recruits, veterans, first responders, wounded warriors, caregivers and to individually named US service members deployed overseas.  Their mission is to life the spirits and meet the evolving needs of our active duty and veteran communities, and provide volunteer opportunities for all Americans to express their appreciation to members of our military.
