Learn ways Medicare may pay for family caregivers to provide care for loved ones.

At The Kensington, we know that few topics can be as complex and critical as Medicare. Current Medicare policy overlooks the significant challenges facing tens of millions of family members caring for Medicare beneficiaries at home. Without improved support from Medicare, the need for home-based services will continue to outpace the ability of family caregivers to provide care.  Join Mark Brownstein, Director of Medicare for Emerald Medicare, as he breaks down how to navigate your Medicare plan options.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) proposes involving health care practitioners in training caregivers of patients with certain diseases or illnesses (such as dementia) to carry out a treatment plan. This means that Medicare would pay health professionals to train family caregivers on managing medications, assisting with activities of daily living, and using medical equipment. Mark Brownstein will share the latest developments in Medicare and help you learn how get the most benefit from it.

This is a hybrid event. If joining in-person, a delicious dinner by our Executive Chef Norm Fintz will be served. If you can’t join us at The Kensington, we invite you to tune into our event virtually. Please register on Zoom here.
