The sweet potato is one of the best sources of vitamin A. It is also an excellent source of vitamin C providing 47% of the RDA in just 4 oz. canned sweet potatoes are nearly as high in nutrients as fresh ones.
Both canned and fresh sweet potatoes are good sources of B vitamins. Another nutritious feature is that sweet potatoes are rich in complex carbohydrates and fiber. This combination helps control blood sugar levels and control appetite!
