Rae Marcus, one of The Kensington’s most beloved residents, passed away this year. She was a very special person and made everyone at our community feel special and loved. For example, every morning after finishing breakfast, she would walk around the dining room, greeting residents and inquiring as to how they were feeling. She always had a pleasant word or two for each of them.
When she moved in, Rae volunteered to organize and supervise The Kensington’s library. And every morning, she would spend her time clearing out book clutter and tidying up the books.
In July of 2014, the Marcus family, friends, residents and The Kensington team gathered for the dedication ceremony. The Kensington dedicated our library to Rae Marcus in her memory, a woman who gave so much.
