Join us for an in-person screening of an insightful and informative event featuring Neurologists Dr. Umar Akbar and Dr. Sarah O’Shea, where we will explore the most recent advancements in Parkinson’s disease management and research.
This presentation will focus on groundbreaking therapies that aim to provide symptomatic relief and potentially slow disease progression. Discover new medications like ONAPGO (apomorphine hydrochloride) and Vyalev (produodopa), recently approved to manage motor fluctuations and off-periods. We’ll also discuss innovative treatments such as adaptive deep brain stimulation (aDBS), which offers real-time adjustments to address changing symptoms.
Beyond medications, we’ll cover promising research into stem cell therapies, focused ultrasound, and the investigation of molecules and proteins linked to Parkinson’s development.
